2024 Microsurfacing Bedford Drive Special Assessment District HMA Paving at Various Culverts 0.04 miles of hot mix asphalt resurfacing and aggregate base conditioning at Ida West Road over Stacy Drain, Secor Road over Bay Creek, and Samaria Road over Bay Creek in Bedford Township and Summerfield Township, Monroe County, Michigan. Fine grade and compact the 21AA aggregate base installed by the culvert installation contractor. The approximate length of the open cut at Ida West Road is 30 feet long. 2. Install 9 inches of hot mix asphalt in four (4) lifts consisting of: a. Wearing Course: 2 inch lift of MDOT 4EL or ODOT 448, Type 2 - 24 feet wide b. Leveling Course: 2 inch lift of MDOT 4EL or ODOT 448, Type 2 - 24 feet wide c. Base Courses: Two 2 1/2 inch lifts of MODT 3EL or ODOT 301 - 26 feet wide 3. Equivalent HMA mixtures may be substituted with prior approval from the Monroe County Road Commission. 4. The wearing course must be installed with a self-propelled paver. 5. Below is the existing typical cross section for Ida West Road.
