Site work, paving and new construction of a municipal facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 15,600-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for paving for a municipal facility.

The contract will be for the construction of a new two-story 15,600 s.f. fleet maintenance building, complete with vehicle garage bays, office and meeting rooms. Site work includes mass grading, site utilities, parking areas, access road, security fencing/gates, vehicle fueling area with canopy, vehicle wash area, retaining walls, and associated appurtenances. Work is to be performed over the course of an 18-month period, commencing on the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to at least 5% (five percent) of the bid amount. At the option of the bidder, the guarantee may be certified check, bank draft, or bid guarantee. The bid guarantee shall ensure the execution of the contract as required by the specifications.
