This Invitation to Bid is for a Stansteel Replacement Dryer Shell System and Hot Aggregate Bucket Elevator Assembly for Sullivan County Highway Asphalt Plant as per the
attached scope of work.

o The Dryer Shell shall be a nominal 72" diameter x 30-0" overall length. The Dryer Shell to be
manufactured with 1/2 " thick high strength A572 Grade 50 steel shell long.
o Two (2) Solid one-piece forged tires of 1045 carbon steel finished machined on all sides and
factory mounted to the Dryer shell and mounted to shell with heavy duty tire rigging.
o Flights to be custom engineered for plant's existing equipment and constructed of 3/8" thick A36
steel and the bolt-in replaceable style. All to be factory installed in the Dryer shell. Combustion
Flights to be constructed of 3/8" thick A36 steel and of the bolt in replaceable style. Inlet Spiral
Flights to be constructed of abrasion resistant steel and of the bolt in replaceable style.
o One (1) New Custom Inlet Housing with Divert Chute designed and fabricated to match the new
drum shell to allow for proper entry of the Virgin Aggregate Material coming from a recently
purchased 30" wide Collecting Conveyor.
o One (1) New Discharge Housing Assembly with Rubber Seal.
o Discharge Paddles to be provided and factory mounted to the Dryer Shell.
o Four (4) Trunnions hardened, with press fit shafts. (Owner will reuse existing drive system,
trunnion bases, drive motor/reducers, and guards).
o Eight (8) Heavy Duty Pillow Block Style Trunnion Bearings
o Two (2) Stansteel style Thrust Idlers with Mounting Plate
o Dryer shell will be painted High Temp Black
Interconnecting Ductwork
Replacement Blue Smoke and Baghouse Ductwork. The Ductwork will be made from 7 ga thick
mild steel and consists of the following components:
o One (1) nominal 12" x 12" 90o Elbow with square to round transition one end.
o Two (2) nominal 12" x 12" Duct x 20' long flanged each end.
o Two (2) nominal 18" x 64" 90o Elbows, flanged each end with stiffeners. Hot Aggregate Bucket Elevator Assembly
New Stansteel Hot Aggregate Bucket Elevator Assembly, Rated at 175 TPH for 100
lb./Cu. Ft. Material for the existing Asphalt Batch Plant
o Nominal 50'-0", Vertical enclosed type with 20 HP Motor, V-belt drive, drive guard, motor
mount and shaft mounted reducer.
o Casing Dimensions - 22" x 54" x nominal 50'-0"
o Aggregate Inlet Feed to Bucket Elevator
o Dust Intake Port
o Inspection and cleanout/access door at base
o Headshaft with traction wheel to be provided.
o Tailshaft with traction wheel to be provided.
o Headshaft service platform with handrails and caged ladder to tower screen platform.
o Discharge chute to screen housing with replaceable abrasion-resistant liners to be provided.
o Aggregate Buckets to be fabricated steel, 16" x 8" x 8", fabricated from 1/4 " carbon steel.
o Bucket lips hard surfaced with abrasion-resistant material.
o Nominal 110' of C111 Chain.
o Elevator to be factory assembled to the maximum extent permitted by transportation restrictions.
