The work will include crack sealing as required by the Town of Bedford in our Local Road Rehabilitation Program. The Town will assign roads in the program as needs arise, and reserves the right to cease work on the project in the event that dedicated monies have been expended, or when services are no longer required. Approximately 17,500 lbs. of crack seal material will need to be accomplished in 2024, and approximately 17,500 lbs. will need to be accomplished in 2025. All work shall be done in accordance with the contract documents and specifications prepared by the Town of Bedford, New Hampshire. The Notice-to-Proceed should be issued within five (5) days of the execution of the Agreement by the Owner. Should there be reasons why the Notice-to-Proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owner and Contractor. The Contractor shall commence work no earlier than May 1, 2024 and have until September 30, 2024 for substantial completion of any road work assigned in 2024 by the Owner, and shall have from May 1, 2025 until September 30, 2025 to complete all road work assigned in 2025 by the Owner. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.
