Contractor will notify the Director of Maintenance or designee when proprietary services are needed. The Director of Maintenance will determine the extent of the Contractor's role with a third party on a case by case basis. Testing & Inspection Services: Fire protection systems and devices will be inspected and functionally tested in accordance with all applicable Nation Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements, local requirements and manufacturers' specifications. Any discrepancies noted will be itemized on inspection reports. Fire alarm system inspections will include one annual -100% test Copies of approved inspection reports will indicate the exact condition of these systems at the time of inspection. These reports will be reviewed with the Director of Maintenance or designee at the completion of each inspection. Maintenance Services: Contractor will provide parts and labor, at no additional charge to the customer, to repair or replace any defective equipment associated with the fire alarm system noted during this agreement. Trouble & alarm calls due to defective equipment, labor & materials will be covered under this agreement. Contractor will perform annual smoke detector cleaning at each location. At no time will the contractor be responsible for the equipment at these locations that has failed due to vandalism and/or acts of God or Nature. The contractor must communicate with the District regarding trouble notifications within one (1) hour during normal business hours. In addition, until such time as the trouble situation is corrected, the contractor must comply with acceptable mitigating actions coordinated through other agencies (monitoring service providers, Public Safety, etc.). 1. Scope of Work: The District is seeking proposals to provide annual testing, maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems within the six (6) schools and (1) SAU Office. 2. Locations: A. Bedford High School & Ross A. Lurgio Middle School - 47 Nashua Road Both schools included a single fire alarm system with multiple panels & zones. B. McKelvie Intermediate School - 108 Liberty Hill Road C. Memorial School - 55 Old Bedford Road D. Peter Woodbury School - 180 County Road E. Riddle Brook School - 230 New Boston Road F. SAU Office - 103 County Road 3. Schedule Testing, maintenance and repair will be scheduled around school operations in order to minimize disruption to students, visitors and staff. Services are coordinated by the district's maintenance department and are typically completed when school is not in session. 4. Annual Service Costs Annual service costs on the bid worksheet, Appendix B, are to include all materials, labor, tools, testing equipment, parts and vehicle charges which satisfy manufacturer's applicable requirements. In addition, contractor costs on labor billing rates for repair activities not covered under the fixed price activities; including straight and overtime rates and applicable mileage charges/other fees. Device and equipment inventory totals are approximate and exclude batteries.
