This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Bedford, New Hampshire. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The Bedford School District (herein referred to as the District) is soliciting bids from qualified firms for a waste removal and recycling program for its six schools and the SAU#25 central office. This contract will be for a three-year period, beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2027. I. Scope of Work and Specifications Pick-ups will be as specified below, except during school vacations, July and August when pick-ups will be on an "as needed" or "will call" basis. If a school is missed on a scheduled pick-up day because of a holiday or vehicle breakdown, the pick-up must be made the next day even if it is a Monday or Saturday. Invoices must list dated of pick-ups by site. Invoices shall be issued on a monthly basis, with services billed on a per day basis. 1. Waste removal Pick-ups will be site specific, from 5:30am - 7:00am, or after 3:30pm. The pricing schedule in Appendix B lists our current waste removal schedule and container sizes for the 2023-2024 school year. The Bedford School District reserves the right to change the schedule, the sizes of containers, and increase or decrease the frequency of pick-ups as needed. Containers must be in place and ready for use on July 1, 2024. 2. Recycling Pick-ups will be from 5:30am - 7:00am, or after 3:30pm. The pricing schedule in Appendix C lists our current recycling removal schedule and container sizes for the 2023-2024 school year. The Bedford School District reserves the right to change the schedule, the sizes of containers, and increase or decrease the frequency of pick-ups as needed. Containers must be in place and ready for use on July 1, 2024. 3. Locations A. Bedford High School - 47A Nashua Road B. Ross A. Lurgio School - 47B Nashua Road C. McKelvie Intermediate School - 108 Liberty Hill Road D. Peter Woodbury School - 180 County Road E. Riddle Brook School - 230 New Boston Road F. Memorial School - 55 Old Bedford Road G. SAU #25 Central Office - 103 County Road II. Terms and Conditions General terms and conditions are listed in Appendix A and are considered an integral part of this "Invitation to Bid". Bids must include the following information: 1. The Pricing Schedules (Appendix B and Appendix C) completed and signed. 2. A general profile of the firm, including location of the office from which equipment will be dispatched. 3. Bidder must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience with comparable sized accounts. 4. A list of three commercial references (including a contact name and phone number). The Bedford School District, at its sole discretion, following an objective evaluation, will award this contract to the most responsible, responsive contractor. Price will be a major consideration but will not be the sole factor in our selection. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, in part or total. All work under this contract is to be conducted in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, codes and ordinances. III. Minimum Insurance Requirements The contractor will maintain, at its expense during the term of this contract, the following insurance: 1. Comprehensive general liability insurance with a combined single limit of $1,000,000 each occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. The Bedford School District shall be named as an "additional insured" on the policy with respect to the services provided under this contract. 2. Automobile liability insurance for owned, hired and non-owned vehicles with a minimum of $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident for bodily injury and property damage. 3. Workers' compensation insurance as required by the state statute. Certificates of insurance must be filed with the Business Administrator prior to beginning work.
