Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Santa Monica, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
A. The project shall be constructed per the approved plans and specifications, drawing number 7119. B. Project Location 1. 26th Street from Broadway to Olympic Boulevard 2. Owner: City of Santa Monica, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 3. Engineer: The City of Santa Monica 4. Construction Manager: The City of Santa Monica C. The Contractorís operations shall cause no unnecessary inconvenience to facilities and establishments. The access rights of the public shall be considered at all times, unless otherwise authorized. Delivery vehicles shall be permitted to pass through the Work. Access to these facilities shall be continuous and unobstructed. D. Safe and adequate pedestrian and vehicular access shall be provided and maintained to: fire hydrants; commercial establishments; and parking lots. Work shall be limited to impact only one drive aisle at all times. Traffic circulation must be maintained at all times. E. Safe and adequate pedestrian zones as well as pedestrian crossings of the Work area shall be maintained unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. F. The Contractor shall cooperate with the various parties involved in the delivery of mail and the collection and removal of trash and garbage to maintain existing schedules for these services. G. Contractor shall provide insurance for working adjacent to the Metro tracks. Contractor shall be required to request track allocation and coordinate their own work with Metro when working adjacent to the train tracks Verbal requests for clarifications will not be considered. The last day to submit questions for clarification is February 15, 2024. Questions can only be asked via OpenGov Procurement PROJECT ESTIMATE: $1,150,000 CONTRACT DAYS: 180 Calendar Days Question Submission Deadline: February 15, 2024, 3:00pm Prevailing Rates of Wages This Project constitutes a "public works" project within the meaning of California Labor Code section 1720 and is subject to the prevailing wage laws. Bidder should familiarize itself with the prevailing wage provisions in Article 13 (Statutory Requirements) of the City's General Conditions. Santa Monica Living Wage Ordinance The City of Santa Monica's Living Wage Ordinance, Santa Monica Municipal Code Chapter 4.65 ("Living Wage Ordinance"), requires the payment of Minimum Wage for work done on any Contract over a certain threshold to any worker who does not actually work as a manager, supervisor or confidential employee, and who is not required to possess an occupational license. The established Minimum Wage includes an annual adjustment each July 1st by an amount corresponding to the previous calendar year's change in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers in Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange Counties. If the Living Wage Ordinance applies to services sought pursuant to this bid, bidders are required to prepare and upload the Living Wage Ordinance Certification Form included in the Bid Form. If the bidder is selected, the bidder must maintain payroll records that include, at minimum, the full name of each employee providing services under the contract, job classification and rate of pay. Bids that fail to include this Certification Form may be considered non-responsive and excluded from further consideration.
