Based on the Trinidad Skate Park Assessment conducted in December of 2023, the City seeks a qualified firm to provide design, repair/construction services for the Trinidad Skate Park at the South Side Community Center, 1309 Beshoar Ave., Trinidad, CO 81082 as identified and recommended in the Trinidad Skate Park Assessment. Scope of Work : Spalling at Coping - Clean out, repair, fill w/flexible joint sealant. Approx 800 LF. Reweld Seam in Steel Coping - grind rust spots and touch up with cold galvanize spray paint. Approx 14 spots. Differential Settlement - 4 Areas of major concern. Various other areas of settlement will need to be addressed. Concrete Cracks - Clean out, repair, fill w/flexible joint sealant. Approx 2920 LF. Concrete Joints - Clean out, repair, fill w/flexible joint sealant. Approx 1,420 LF. Coping - grind rust spots and touch up with cold galvanize spray paint. Approx 800 LF. Reseal concrete - Pressure wash, paint entire skate park with epoxy paint. Approx 18,000 sq ft. All bids should adhere to the specified content described by this AFB. The responding party should include any information that he/she feels will enable the evaluators in making a decision. A statement of qualifications, size of firm, services provided by the organization, and extent of previous experience must be included. Please also include at least three business references for which you have recently provided similar services. Include contact names, titles, phone numbers and e-mail addresses for all references provided. Bids will be evaluated based on the criteria listed below. They will first be reviewed and evaluated by City Staff, who will forward the top proposals to City Council. City Council will review those proposals that were forwarded and conduct interviews. Any individual bringing forth a proposal may be subject to appear in a council meeting to present, explain, and answer any questions regarding your proposal. Proposals will be rated on the following criteria: Qualifications and experience of the individual/firm performing skate park repair work; Proposed approach, including clarity of understanding the scope of services to be provided; Demonstrated history of successfully performing related services for comparable entities across Colorado and/or the nation; Evidence of established and ongoing relationships with individuals, agencies, contractors and firms who have extensive experience in developing, constructing and maintaining comparable skate parks. Cost of the services described by this RFP and the value provided to the City. The evaluators may consider any other criteria it deems relevant and is free to make any recommendations it determines are in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to select proposals other than those with lowest costs. The City may accept the proposal that demonstrates the best abilities and qualifications to meet the needs of the City. The City additionally reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or portions thereof without stated cause. The City of Trinidad reserves the right without prejudice to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or minor irregularities in proposals, and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the City's best interest. All bids in excess of $150,000 will require payment and performance bonds.
