Each bid (proposal) must contain the full name of the party or parties making same and all persons interested therein. Proposals shall be submitted through the online using the electronic forms furnished by the City and must be fully completed and electronically endorsed by the bidder. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to or exceeding FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE TOTAL BID AMOUNT, INCLUDING ALL ADD ALTERNATES, as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract as proposed. The bid bond shall be in the form prescribed by the City (marked "A") and executed by the bidder and an authorized surety, guaranty, or trust company or companies. The City of Kettering reserves the right to hold all bids for sixty (60) days unless extended by the City; or unless, within forty-eight (48) hours prior to the published time for the opening of bids, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, any modification of the plans or specifications for the project for which bids are solicited is issued through online or mailed or otherwise furnished to persons who have obtained plans or specifications for the project, for which the time for opening of bids shall be extended one (1) week, and to reject any and all bids.
