Renovation of a military facility in Walla Walla, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The US Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is seeking sources for the following proposed modifications to the Headquarters (HQ) Building entrances: Replace the door, sidelight and transom window assemblies at all ground-level entries to the HQ Building with more secure assemblies to include steel doors and steel door, sidelight and transom framing; door, sidelight, and transom glazing panels consisting of panes of insulated laminated glass; and a full complement of security hardware for each door. Improve the weathertightness of each entry door by utilizing silicon bulb weatherstripping at the door heads and jambs and automatic (cam-actuated) EPDM seals at the bottom of each door. Replace the existing automatic swing operators at the south and main entry doors with new door operators and install a new automatic swing operators at the exterior and interior north stair doors. Connect each new entry door to the HQ Building security panel to monitor for latch tampering, abnormal door opening and dislodgement from prying and blunt force impact, and glass breakage. Provide new doors with electrical capabilities for CAC-initiated latch retraction, request to exit signaling, and initiation of automatic opening for doors equipped with swing operators. Update the existing HQ Building and Annex building Honeywell ProWatch security panels as required to receive, process, and initiate appropriate actions for electrical signals received from new door monitoring and operating hardware. Replace the HQ Building security panels and run new wiring from the security panel to each new door location as required. Install new power supplies to power door locking hardware at each new door. Replace the lock hardware, thresholds, and weatherstripping at the HQ building terrace doors. Contractors working on the Honeywell system must be Honeywell ProWatch certified. Exterior door replacement must be sequenced so that personnel can enter and exit the building in safe manner. Security checks may be required for unescorted access with the building. Replace existing insulated glass panes with broken seals. Replace failed gasketing on existing window panes. Water test window panes at the South Stair curtain wall to find leaking gaskets and replace gasketing that has failed. This will be a firm-fixed-price Construction contract.
