Work includes bituminous pavement planing on five roadway segments within the City of Walla Walla with a total estimated quantity of 5,716 square yards. Any additional information or questions concerning this Call for Bids can be obtained by emailing Jason Mings at jmings@wallawallawa.gov Depth of planing bituminous pavement shall be as identified on the plan sheets. Owner provided services as part of this contract are as follows: A. All traffic control for each site area; B. Lowering utility castings priorto contractor planing and raising utility castings after contractor planing; C. Owner to provide waterfor milling machine operation. This will be at nearby hydrant location or through delivery via watertruck. D. Haul of planings from each site area. Owner will provide six (6) solo trucks each with a capacity of nine (9) CY. Estimated round trip from leaving site to return to site is 30 minutes; E. Removal of all loose debris from the planed surface before opening the planed surface to traffic; F. Restoration of the pavement surface after planing. Contractor provided services as part of this contract: A. Bituminous pavement rotary milling machine with a minimum planing width of 7 feet per pass. B. Sufficient labor to property and safely operate the rotary milling machine. C. Tractor/Trailer and operator capable of transporting the rotary milling machine to and between site areas. Mobilization has been entered into the proposal as a per each bid item. One mobilization for each worksite.
