The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approximately 6,566 lineal feet of 8-inch SDR 21 PVC water main by open-cut, 304 lineal feet of 6-inch SDR 21 PVC water main by open cut, 520 lineal feet of 8-inch SDR 21 PVC water main by horizontal directional drill, and 200 lineal feet of 6-inch SDR 21 PVC water main by horizontal directional drill. Installation of 9 tapping sleeves and valves, 19 gate valves, 13 fire hydrant assemblies, 9 line stop and cap assemblies, and 58 meter and service relocations. HMA pavement repair, erosion control, restoration, and all other work required to provide a complete project. Bids are requested for a single prime Contract. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Bid security, in a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the highest aggregate bid, shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in whole or in part as specified in the solicitation when it is not in the best interest of the governmental body as determined by the purchasing agency in accordance with IC 5-22-18-2. The Owner also reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid, which is deemed most favorable to the Owner.
