The City of East Moline is requesting bids for the construction of the 4th Street A Utility & Roadway Improvements project. The project consists of replacement of 1548 LF of 8" water main and associated water service lines, as well as the patching of PCC pavement, roadway mill and HMA overlay, and other associated work along 4th St A from 23rd Ave to 25th Ave; 5th St from 23rd Ave to 24th Ave; 24th Ave from 5th St to 4th St A. Doc Notes: Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office - Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. however no printed documents will be available for purchase or download except from the previously designated website. A bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of East Moline, Illinois in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each proposal. Bids shall be valid for 60 days. The City of East Moline will not discriminate against any person because of race, color or religion, sex or national origin. All contracts for the Construction of Public Works in the City of East Moline are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Owner Rights: The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids and to reject any or all bids and to determine which is lowest and/or best for the proposed project.
