This project requires 22% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase II engineering services are required for the preparation of contract plans, structure plans, specifications, cost estimates, supplemental surveying, geotechnical services, lighting design, and all other work necessary to complete the improvements for I-94 at Winnetka Road. This project includes the complete bridge replacement of the Winnetka Road bridge over I-94. The proposed replacement structure increases vertical clearance and widens the bridge for future expansion of I-94. Additionally, retaining walls, resurfacing within the limits of Winnetka Road, lighting, pedestrian accommodations, and ADA compatible sidewalk ramps are proposed along Winnetka Road.
