As of January 2025, construction documents are underway and in the process of obtaining final easements. Contractor bidding is expected to commence in the late first quarter 2025. Construction is expected to begin in the late spring 2025. This project is included in the city’s 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction funded for FY2025. This project provides for the construction of an underground storm sewer system to intercept and convey stormwater. The system would extend along an established street/alley right-of-way that is unimproved and convey drainage to an adequate discharge point. The system would consist of approximately 2,000 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe or approved alternative and appurtenances. Goals: Eliminate or reduce erosion, structure and yard flooding and associated risks in the impacted areas. Maintain/improve property values and enhance safety, operations and overall productivity of the commercial/industrial users. Reduce annual maintenance costs associated with the investigation and repair or identified storm water problem. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
