Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Bethany, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a 3,600-square-foot educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.

The work precedes the Pre-K and Kindergarten Renovations scheduled to begin after the 2024 summer dismissal. Renovation of the Classrooms are under a separate contract and the Asbestos Abatement Contractor will coordinate their work with the General Contractor. The Asbestos Abatement Contractor will be under contract with the District, and be paid by same. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage, as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for Moultrie County, shall be paid for any part of the work. The work includes the non-friable removal of floor tile and mastic from four classrooms at the Elementary School in Bethany, totaling about 3,600 square feet. Bid bond is required. Bidders shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, creed, or national origin. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price. Bonds shall be filed with the School District prior to the successful contractor being issued a Notice to Proceed. The owner reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all bids. The awarded bid will be accepted under consideration of the Okaw Valley CUSD 302 School Board. Acceptance will be based on the Lowest Responsible Bidder. Lowest Responsible Bidder is defined in Section 00 21 10 of the Project Manual. Work shall finish before the date of Substantial Completion specified in the Project Manual. The Elementary School is located at 319 North Washington Street in Bethany, Illinois.
