Client Project No: KCHS D23069 Project No.: D23069 KCHS Construction Range: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 The Work consists of renovation of the Yup'ik Health Sciences Building located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks, Kuskokwim Campus, Yup'ik Health Sciences, Building Number KU101 in Bethel, Alaska. This renovation will change the floor plan to allow for adequate space for the Kuskokwim Campus Health Sciences Nursing Program, and modify the heating, ventilation, and electrical infrastructure. Upgrades to the structural components will be made as needed. Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening. Acceptance of substitutions after award is limited. See Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions. Construction Range: $1,000,000 - $5,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond provided by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Alaska on a form provided herein, or cashier's check in the appropriate amount. Bid security must be in an amount equal to at least twenty (20) percent of the maximum amount of the bid. 1. If submitting a cashier's check in place of a bid bond, the check must be mailed, or otherwise delivered, to the Owner at P.O. Box 758160 Fairbanks AK 99775 or 1850 Tanana Loop, Fairbanks AK 99775 prior to the bid opening. A copy of the check must be attached to the Bid Form Within ten (10) days of the receipt of written Notice-of-Intent-To-Award, the Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond on a form provided by the Owner in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and also a Payment Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum. Said surety shall be licensed to do business in the State of Alaska and shall be listed as a surety acceptable on federal bonds by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Treasury Circular 570. Each bond must meet federal Miller Act requirements and must be approved by the Owner. The project is funded by a Federal Grant. Bidders must register through the website to be notified of addenda. The bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site for addenda or additional information for the project. Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Further instructions are contained within the Instructions to Bidders. The University of Alaska reserves the right to reject any or all bids, offers, or parts thereof it deems necessary, to waive any informality in the bid or offer received, and to award in the best interest of the University.
