Renovation of a residential development in Suffield, Connecticut. Working plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
As of March 26, 2024, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Improvements to Broder Place, Laurel Court and Maple Court of the Suffield Housing Authority The Suffield Housing Authority and the Town of Suffield are Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employers, and encourage bid submissions from Section 3 firms, MBE's, WBE's and SBE's. A satisfactory Bid Guarantee or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. If a Bid Guarantee is in the form of a Bid Bond, the Bid Bond shall be made payable to the Suffield Housing Authority and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and Acceptable Sureties. Individual sureties shall not be considered. U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, published annually in the Federal Register, lists companies approved to act as surety on bonds securing Government contracts, the maximum underwriting limits on each contract bonded and the States in which each company is licensed to do business. Use of this Circular is mandatory. The successful bidder shall procure at his own expense Workmen's Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile Liability and other insurance with minimum insurance coverage and limits required by the CT Department of Housing, as defined in the Specifications. All bid forms must be fully completed when submitted. The Suffield Housing Authority and the Town of Suffield reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids or proposals; to waive any technicality in any bid or part thereof, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Suffield Housing Authority and the Town of Suffield.
