Renovation of an educational facility in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of renovating the toilet rooms at Longfellow Middle School. The work consists of selective demolition, hollow metal frames, wood doors, drywall, tile, acoustical panel ceilings and grid, painting, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work A certified check, a cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bond within ten days after the award of contract. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities in any bid or to accept any bid which will be to the best interests of Owner. Owner also reserves unrestricted privilege to reject any unit prices for additions to or deductions from scheduled amount of work as attached to the bid if they are considered excessive or unreasonable; or to accept, by including same in contract, any or all of such unit prices which may be considered fair and reasonable. The application of unit prices to add to or deduct from scheduled amount of work shall apply without limit Submit claims for increased costs due to a change in the scope or nature of the allowance described in the Contract Documents, whether for the purchase order amount or Contractor's handling, labor, installation, overhead, and profit Do not include Contractor's or subcontractor's indirect expense in the Change Order cost amount unless it is clearly shown that the nature or extent of Work has changed from what could have been foreseen from information in the Contract Documents. No change to Contractor's indirect expense is permitted for selection of higher- or lower-priced materials or systems of the same scope and nature as originally indicated. Immediately on discovery of a difference between site conditions and the Contract Documents, prepare and submit a detailed report. Submit with a Request for Information. Include a detailed description of the differing conditions, together with recommendations for changing the Contract Documents.
