This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to widen Legacy Pointe Blvd to create a boulevard section including PCC pavement, PCC sidewalk and pedestrian ramps, and traffic signal modifications at the intersection. Project items include subgrade preparation and treatment, PCC roadway paving and sidewalk/trail ramp paving, pavement markings, traffic signalization, traffic control and construction of median. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount.
