Albany Avenue Water Main Improvements The work consists of replacement of approximately 2,000 LF of water main along Albany Ave in the Village of Kinderhook. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. A bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will also be required to provide performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the value of the contract. The time period for holding Bids, is 45 days after opening of Bids, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals are applicable to the total dollars paid to the construction contract. The goals for this project are a minimum of 20.0 percent M/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The bidder shall submit completed DBE forms with the bid. Section 00800 contains the funding program construction contract requirements for M/WBE participation. Failure to comply with the requirements of this paragraph may be deemed to render a proposal nonresponsive. No waiver of any provision of this section will be granted unless approved by the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation. The combined M/WBE goal is 20% of the total contract price.
