Site work for a water / sewer project in Ten Sleep, Wyoming. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Engineering - East Tensleep Creek Fish Barrier. The National Stream and Aquatic Ecology Center (NSAEC) was contacted by the Bighorn National Forest to identify a suitable location for a fish barrier, perform a site assessment, and develop a conceptual fish barrier design that can be used to 1) assess the feasibility and technical aspects of the project, 2) determine additional data, analyses, and partner coordination needs for completing a full design package for the project, 3) obtain Agency support to implement the project, and 4) apply for grants to design and implement the project. The goal of the East Tensleep Creek Fish Barrier Project is to recover, restore, and protect native Yellowstone cutthroat trout in the East Tensleep Creek watershed. Currently, Yellowstone cutthroat trout is limited to an upper two-mile segment of East Tensleep Creek. Interspecies competition from non-native brook trout and brown trout have reduced the abundance of Yellowstone cutthroat trout in the watershed. Constructing a fish barrier lower in the watershed combined with removing non-native brook trout and brown trout upstream of the barrier will allow the existing Yellowstone cutthroat trout population to expand in the watershed, which in turn will create a more robust and resilient metapopulation of Yellowstone cutthroat trout. Question Deadline 03/14/2024 at 5:00 PM MT All questions shall be submitted on the Public Purchase website All questions will be answered and provided to all prospective proposers via answers on the Public Purchase website or in the form of a written addendum posted on Public Purchase by 3:00 p.m. on March 19, 2024. Project Description: This project will consist of designing a fish barrier on East Tensleep Creek at the preferred location (44.174814, -107.213065) 1,100 feet upstream from Meadowlark Lake in preparation for future Yellowstone cutthroat trout restoration efforts. The purpose of this barrier is to prevent the upstream passage of non-native trout from Meadowlark Lake into East Tensleep Creek, approximately 18 miles northeast of Ten Sleep, WY. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. End Date- Estimated Project Completion date: March 18, 2025
