The Whatcom County Health and Community Services Department is seeking proposals from qualified service provider to provide commercial waste reduction and recycling technical assistance and education to Whatcom County businesses in targeted commercial sectors to increase countywide waste reduction rates. Questions and answers will be written and distributed to all known prospective applicants by addendum. Only those questions/answers not already contained in the RFP will be included in the addendum. All applicants will be required to sign the Addendum Cover Sheet and submit it with their applications. The contract period for services solicited under this RFP is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The contract may be extended by mutual written agreement for a period of up to one year at a time, for a total of no longer than three years depending on performance results and funding availability.
