Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in East Wenatchee, Washington. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of September 24, 2025, the project has completed around 60% of the design work. The project requires additional funding before it can be bid out openly. Construction is expected to begin in 2027. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference: The CITY OF EAST WENATCHEE solicits proposals from consulting firms with expertise in civil engineering and design. Consultants will be considered for the following project. The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the construction of street improvements on North Kentucky Ave. This project is pided into two phases. Phase 1 is from Grant Road to 5th Street NE. Phase 2 is from 5th Street NE to 10th Street NE. The major features of the project are as follows: * Phase 1 consists of approximately 2660 feet of improvements including roadway reconstruction, curb, gutter, sidewalk, illumination, and enhanced pedestrian facilities. The intersections of 3rd Street NE and 5th Street NE will be evaluated for possible safety enhancements. The Douglas County Sewer District is expected to have utility upgrades in this phase that may align with this project. Phase 1 shall reach 90% PS&E. * Phase 2 consists of approximately 3200 feet of improvements, along with the intersection of 8th Street NE being evaluated for possible safety enhancements. This phase shall reach 30% PS&E. Required stormwater retention and treatment locations shall be identified as a part of this effort. If stormwater mitigation is best achieved within phase 1's project area, the phase 1 stormwater facilities should be sized to meet future treatment and retention requirements. * Right of Way needs may be identified within Phase 1's project area. Right of Way Acquisition may be supplemented to the initial agreement as needed. * Complete stormwater collection, treatment, and conveyance system in accordance with current NPDES requirements. * Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. * Environmental planning, permit applications, and NEPA approval. * The City has received design and right of way funding through the Public Works Board.
