Site work for a transportation facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

As of June 20, 2024, a shortlist of firms have been released. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified consultant team to provide engineering services for the Urban Safety Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) project to support the deployment of safety improvements at two BNSF-owned railroad grade crossings. Services include both design and post-design phases. This project site is located at the intersections of 19th Avenue and McDowell Road and 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road. The estimated total construction cost for this project is $ 8.8 million. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to: street widening, construction of new sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act ramps, modifying pedestrian circulation and improve crosswalks, gate arms locations and existing islands upgrades, traffic signal equipment and streetlighting upgrades, traffic signal preemption time and programing, cantilever signals and railroad equipment upgrades, realignment of exiting traffic lanes configuration, right-of-way and bus stop area assessments. The design scope submittal consists of Preliminary Engineering (PE) deliverable and the Final Design (FD) package. The PE deliverable consists of the preparation of all design development and project delivery documentation necessary to demonstrate the effectiveness, feasibility, and readiness of the project. Additionally, the scope of the project includes post-design services extending through the construction phase to ensure seamless implementation and successful project completion. Project Assessment reports are available for download on the City's project website at solicitations.phoenix.gov. Use of UNIFIER, an Application Service Provider (ASP) web-based project management database, may be required. The following information provides a guideline for utilization. Any questions related to the requirements of UNIFIER should be directed to the Project Manager. The Consultant will be required to maintain all project records in electronic format. The City provides an ASP web-based project management database which the Consultant will be required to utilize in the fulfillment of the contract requirements. The Consultant shall provide a computerized networked office platform with broadband internet connectivity. UNIFIER training will be provided through the City of Phoenix to firms under contract.
