As of January 2, 2024, an engineer has been identified. The Town of Cheraw is seeking an engineer to conduct surveys, prepare plans, prepare maps, and obtain all necessary permits for paving/resurfacing of streets in the Town. The selected firm will also provide construction management for the project. The Town of Cheraw is accepting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional services for the design and construction management for paving/resurfacing 5 residential streets within the Town Limits This project is being funded with federal funds through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) awarded to the Town of Cheraw and will incorporate all requirements pertinent to that program. The selected engineering firm shall consult with the Town of Cheraw, to conduct surveys, prepare plans, prepare maps, and obtain all necessary permits for paving/resurfacing the following streets: Maynard, E Greene, Jerico, Ingram and Godfrey Street (between Huger and Ingram Streets). The selected firm will also provide construction management for the project. The selected firm will be responsible for furnishing copies of their SAMs registration, liability and workers compensation insurance to the Town of Cheraw and will be responsible for obtaining a Town of Cheraw Business License.
