The project consists of removing existing fluorescent fixtures and replacing with new LED fixtures, including demolition and disposal of fixtures, installing and reconnecting new fixtures, and new dimming controls in selected areas. The general intent is for one-for-one fixture replacements in same location. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 03/08/2024 at 4:00PM EST for general bids. The work is estimated to cost $950,000.00. The project work consists of removing existing fluorescent and HID lighting fixture and replacing with new LED fixtures including demolition and disposal of fixtures, installing and reconnecting new fixtures, new dimming controls in selected areas, extension and reworking as necessary. The general intent is for one-for-one fixture replacements in same location. The existing lighting fluorescent and HID lighting fixtures are mercury containing and must be legally disposed of according the State of Massachusetts and the Universal Waste laws. Existing fixtures were installed in 2010 and ballasts do not contain PCB. B. The work will include all operations necessary to deliver the building in a fully installed and operable condition including obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. C. The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes all labor, materials, equipment and services required to perform the work described fully in the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but is not limited to the following major work: 1. Removal and disposal of existing fluorescent and HID lighting fixtures. 2. New LED lighting fixtures 3. New dimming controls and sensors 4. Extension of conduit & wiring and reworking existing circuiting. D. Reference To Drawings: The work to be done under this Contract is shown on the Drawings listed at the end of this Section. E. The Contractor shall provide a schedule for completion of the project to TOWN OF WELLESLEY within the construction period set forth in the Contract. F. The Massachusetts Standard Prevailing Labor Wage rates contained in the Contract Documents, as updated on an annual basis, will be used throughout the construction of this project.
