As of October 2025, the project is in the design phase. It is being designed in house. A timeline for contractor bidding and construction has not yet been established. Requests qualifications for survey services from interested consultants to conduct boundary and topographic surveys of the upper portion of the Chewuch Canal for the Chewuch Canal Piping Project, which is located within Okanogan County in the Methow Valley above the town of Winthrop, Washington. Consultant will perform, and mark on the ground, a boundary survey to define the easement for the Chewuch Canal Company. Consultant will conduct a topographic survey of the upper portion of the Chewuch Canal Irrigation ditch from the diversion point on the Chewuch River to the terminus of the open ditch at the Dempsy Drop just above Pearrygin Lake State Park. The deadline for submitting questions Questions will be answered directly through email. Any other communication will be considered unofficial and non-binding on Okanogan CD. Applicants are to rely on written statements issued by Okanogan CD. The data will be used to create an engineering design for the piping of the ditch. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
