The Board of Eddy County Commissioners is requesting formal, price-based competitive sealed bids for the demolition and deconstruction of the Otis Gymnasium and disposal of all materials, including slab and footings. Bids that are received from bidders deemed responsible will be reviewed and a recommendation for award will be made to the Board of County Commissioners based on the lowest responsive price(s) with any applicable preferences. Eddy County reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or any part thereof; to defer action on the invitation for bids; to reject all bids; to waive technicalities or informalities and to accept the bids which, in its judgement, are most advantageous to the County. The scope of this procurement shall encompass the requirements outlined in this IFB, for the demolition, deconstruction, and disposal of the Otis gymnasium to include but not limited to; 1. Hazardous material testing and removal (this will precede the demolition)(All test results and removal documentation will be reviewed by the County's representative or designee prior to demolition) 2. Removal and disposal of all construction materials; 3. Removal and disposal of building slab and footings; 4. Capping and proper termination of utilities to the edge of the property or at the meter; 5. Removal of any septic system and leach field; 6. Fill, grade and compact site level with surrounding park grade; 7. Seed site with Bermuda/Fescue blend of owners choice for soil preservation.
