Description

Site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Roselle, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project.

This project will expand the existing Devlin Wastewater Treatment Plant to allow for further development and complete nutrient removal upgrades. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has issued new limits on certain nutrients in the discharge waters from the plant. In addition, there are several rehabilitation projects including the grit removal building and equipment to improve removal efficiency and protect downstream equipment from the negative effects of grit, replacement of secondary clarifiers 1 & 2 with one large secondary clarifier to aid in expanding the capacity of the plant and upgrading the disinfection process from chlorine gas to ultraviolet (UV) technology to improve water quality and enhance safety. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of February 04, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
