The Kent County Health Department (KCHD) is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide complete and efficient cleaning services for our headquarters building which measures 13,500 sq. ft. and our Scheeler location which measures 100,000 sq. ft, both located in Chestertown, Maryland. The buildings include office space, conference areas, kitchens, medical clinic rooms, and lobby space. BACKGROUND/CURRENT STATE: KCHD operates as a public authority governed by three Commissioners elected by popular vote. KCHD is an operating unit of the Maryland Department of Health and provides a variety of public health related services including family planning, immunizations, environmental health, communicable disease screening and treatment, cancer screening and treatment, wellness, tobacco cessation, managed care, substance use, mental health and medical adult daycare. This RFP process may result in awarding a single Contractor for an initial period of two (2) months, May 1, 2024 until June 30, 2024.
