**As of April 4, 2024, project was awarded to Bituminous Fog Seal-Allied Blacktop Co. for $88,264.00, Bituminous Seal Coat-Allied Blacktop Co. for $ 2,377,485.52, Crack Sealing-Asphalt Surface Tech for $ 1,312,090.56 and Pavement Markings-Sir Lines-A-Lot for $ 746,584.00 for a total awarded amount of $4,524,424.08** Said proposals for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction, complete in-place, of the following work: 23,000 GALS Bituminous Fog Seal1 1,750,000 SY Bituminous Seal Coat2 1,800,000 LF Crack Sealing3 15,000 GALS Pavement Markings4 1Includes Work in the Cities of Apple Valley, Lakeville and Shakopee 2Includes Work in the Cities of Apple Valley, Bloomington, Burnsville, Eagan, Mendota Heights, Prior Lake, Rosemount, Savage, Shakopee, South St. Paul, Waconia; and the Townships of New Market and Spring Lake 3Includes Work in the Cities of Apple Valley, Bloomington, Burnsville, Eagan, Elko New Market, Empire, Hastings, Lakeville, Mendota Heights, Prior Lake, Rosemount, Savage, Shakopee, Waconia, West St. Paul; Scott County; and the Townships New Market, Sand Creek and Spring Lake 4Includes Work in the Cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Elko New Market, Hastings, Lakeville, Mendota Heights, Prior Lake, Rosemount, Savage, Shakopee, Waconia and West St. Paul; and the Townships New Market, and Spring Lake The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Burnsville in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The City of Burnsville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. This work consists of constructing a fog seal on a prepared surface. This work consists of applying bituminous material and a single layer of aggregates on a previously prepared surface. In select LGUs (see Statement of Estimated Quantities) this work also consists of screening existing salvaged seal coat aggregate for reuse. This work consists of sealing random transverse and longitudinal cracks in a bituminous pavement. Rout and Seal: Rout, clean and seal transverse and longitudinal cracks less than or equal to 0.75 inches wide. Clean and Seal: Clean and seal (without routing) transverse and longitudinal cracks as directed by the LGU. This method is also used to re-seal existing routed and sealed cracks had have failed. For LGUs using both methods, the Contractor and the LGU has meet and confer to discuss how each technique will be used and accounted for separately. A. Long Line Street Markings Long Line Street Markings are longitudinal linear pavement markings installed on a roadway that are line segments of various widths. These markings include but are not limited to lane lines, center lines, no passing zone lines and edge lines. These markings do not include stop bars, crosshatch, crosswalk markings or messages. All markings of this category can and will be applicator truck applied. B. Symbol Markings Symbol Markings include pavement messages, words, symbols and transverse or crosshatch line segments of various widths installed on a roadway. These markings include but are not limited to stop bars, crosshatch, crosswalk markings, arrows and words written on the roadway. All markings of this category are hand applied with stencils. C. Parking Lot Markings Parking Lot Markings include all pavement messages, words, symbols and line segments of various widths installed on a parking lot. These markings include but are not limited to stall lines, arrows, crosshatch and handicapped symbols.
