Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Terre Haute, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work set out in this contract is located within the City of Terre Haute, Indiana. More specifically it is located within the following Redevelopment Area(s) and along the below stated street. South Westside Area SWA-2P(R) Seabury Avenue 11th Street to 13th Street Project consists of the removal of existing pavement, curb, drives, trees, stumps, and sidewalk and the construction of new pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveways, storm sewer, tree planting, signage, pavement markings, and seeding within the project area. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies and services necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the drawings, specifications and special provisions attached hereto and made a part of these specifications. Goals for minority participation in each trade 3.1 Goals for female participation in each trade 6.9 Substantial Completion shall occur within a maximum of 120 consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the Terre Haute Department of Redevelopment. Substantial Completion shall be ALL work associated with the completion of the project with the exception of tree planting. Final completion will occur once all new tree planting has been completed. See Section C-6-25 for tree planting specs and schedule. Pursuant to Indiana law, effective January 1, 2017, all contractors and sub-contractors must be pre- qualified with the Indiana Public Works Certification Board under I.C. 4-13.6-4 prior to starting work on any local public works project over $300,000. A certified check, payable to the order of the City of Terre Haute, Department of Redevelopment, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder issued by a surety listed on the Department of Treasury list of approved sureties (Circular 570), in an amount equal to five percent (5%) or the total amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. All bids must be accompanied by a written plan for a program to test the contractor's employees for drugs which complies with the requirements of Indiana Code 4-13-18. A contractor whose bid does not include a written plan for an employee drug testing program that complies with Indiana Code 4- 13-18 will not be awarded the contract. Interpretation or explanation of Contract Documents will not be made by Local Public Agency (Owner). All such inquiries shall be made to the Architect/Engineer. Architect/Engineer may issue addendum during time of bidding, but not later than seven (7) days before bid opening time. The Redevelopment Commission of the City of Terre Haute reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the Bidding to the extent permitted by law.
