South Campus Infrastructure and Pedestrian Access Improvement, PW825, is a project involving upgrades to existing vehicle access roads, pedestrian infrastructure, and utility extensions. In accordance with RCW 39.04.320, this project requires a minimum 15% Apprenticeship Participation for projects with an estimated maximum allowable construction cost (MACC) of one million dollars or more. This project is soliciting contractors to provide roadway and pedestrian improvements and utility extensions at the southern portion of the Western Washington University campus in Bellingham. Western Washington University is committed to providing the maximum practicable opportunity for participation by minority and women-owned businesses (MWBE) in public works. Voluntary goals for this project have been established as 10% MBE and 6% WBE. Participation may be either on a direct basis in response to this invitation to bid, or as a subcontractor or supplier. However, no minimum level of MWBE participation shall be required as a condition for receiving an award and bids will not be rejected or considered non-responsive if they do not include MWBE participation.
