Bids shall be sealed and shall have the name and address of the Bidder, the Bid Package Number and Name and the City of Watertown Project Name for which the bid is being submitted. PROJECT AWARD - Project Award is scheduled for consideration by the City Council at their April 2, 2024 at their 7:00 P.M. meeting. All Bidding Contractors using electronic documents are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, Bidding Contractors are acknowledging their responsibility to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to submitting Bid for the project. Because the Owner, Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), and Maas Brothers Construction have no control over the means of printing of these documents, the Bidding Contractor(s) accept the responsibility of verifying that they have all project bidding documents and that they have been printed correctly. The Bidding Documents will also be on file February 26, 2024 for review and inspection at the offices of Maas Bros. Construction Co., Inc., 410 Water Tower Ct., Watertown, WI 53094. BID SECURITY - No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond payable to the City of Watertown in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the contract, performance/payment bonds and insurance certification, as required by the contract documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award. BID REJECTION - The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the bid or bids which best serves the interests of the City of Watertown. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS - No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60-days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the OWNER.
