As of October 6, 2025, construction is underway. Proposals to construct a parallel main, replacement water meter, future piping connection and the replacement of the throttling valve and actuator to control flow to British Petroleum remotely as referenced to in the Project Specifications. P.U.D. No. 1 of Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, and to waive any informality in the bid or in the bidding process. All Bidders shall include with the Bid Proposal a deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory Performance Bond within the time stated in the specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to P.U.D. No. 1 of Whatcom County. This contract is subject to Washington State Prevailing Wage Requirements (RCW 39.12). Women or minority owned business enterprise participation is not a requirement of this project, however, involvement is encouraged.
