This project will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and supplies to chip seal 11,800 SY of roadway. Work includes traffic control, cleaning road surfaces prior to chip sealing, supplying and laying down oil, distributing chip (chip provided by the City of Middleton) and rolling. All work, materials and installation shall be in accordance with the project plans, specifications, Middleton Supplemental Specifications and the ISPWC. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed bid form and in the manner indicated in the Instructions to Bidders. Engineers estimate: $55,000-$80,000. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Addenda, if any, will be posted on City website under Public Bid Opportunities. The City of Middleton reserves the right to accept the bids and award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder; to postpone the acceptance of the bid and the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days; to award a portion of the bid using alternates or schedules; or to reject any and all the bids received and further advertise the project for bids. The bid will be awarded to only one contractor. The City of Middleton may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject, for good cause, any or all bids upon the finding of the City it is in the public interest to do so.
