Renovation of an educational facility in Yuba City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project consists of: The contractor shall provide all materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and labor to properly prepare surface, apply primer, and apply two coats of specified paint to the interior walls, ceilings, trim, and doors (both sides). Painting will include walls and ceilings for 21 classrooms, 4 restrooms, and 4 interior corridors with approximately 28,500 sq. ft. of floor space located at 808 Gray Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991 Work Schedule Shall begin June 9, 2024 and be completed by August 1, 2024 To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses B GENERAL BUILDING and/or C-33 Painting The Bidders license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the Bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. Liquidated Damages: Time is of the essence for all Work to be performed. It is hereby understood and agreed that it is and will be difficult and/or impossible to ascertain and determine the actual damage that the District will sustain in the event of and by reason of the Contractors delay; therefore, the Contractor shall forfeit to the District the following sum(s) (Liquidated Damages) THREE HUNDRED ($300.00) dollars Questions. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to the District. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda faxed, mailed, or delivered to all parties recorded by the District as having received the Contract Documents. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening Bids may not be answered. Question Deadline 03/12/2024 Request for Information by March 12, 2024 by 4:00 PM. A bid bond issued by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, Cash, or A cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Yuba City Unified School District. in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. The successful Bidder shall furnish to the District a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. DVBE. Section 17076.11 of the Education Code requires school districts using funds allocated pursuant to the State of California School Facility Program for the construction and/or modernization of school building(s) to have a participation goal for disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE) of at least three percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount expended on projects that receive state funding. The Districts Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received.
