MOUNT CLEMENS, MI 48043 General Requirements - Insurance Required All questions must also be directed to jgroulx@mountclemens.gov. Responses to questions will be posted online. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall supply all labor, transportation, material, apparatus, fuel, energy, light, scaffolding, and tools necessary for the entire proper and substantial completion of this work and shall install, maintain, and remove all equipment associated with the construction/demolition and other utensils or things and to be responsible for the safe, proper and lawful construction/demolition maintenance and use of same. In submitting a bid, the Contractor shall comply with the City of Mount Clemens General Conditions, Local, State, and Federal, and MIOSHA Rules and Regulations and be prepared to perform the following: (1) Complete demolition and removal of all existing structures including garages to a licensed landfill site, including complete removal of all footings, basement floors, concrete or asphalt parking lots and driveways, any concrete, asphalt or brick pad or foundations of the property, and sidewalks other than the public sidewalks. Complete and total removal of all debris located on site. (2) The contractor must pull a building permit with the City for the demolition. All fees to be waived. (3) The contractor must pull a plumbing permit for the cutting and capping of sanitary sewer leads and/or water lines at the property line prior to commencing demolition. (4) Private utility clearances (DTE and Consumers Energy) will be secured by the City with clearance notices provide to the contractor prior to demolition. (5) Contractor must notify MISS DIG before starting work. (6) The Contractor must give the City a 24-hour notice that the demolition work is to begin. (7) Complete backfill with clean fill dirt, subject to approval of the City Building Inspector. (8) Proper barricading and public safety is the Contractors responsibility. A SIX FOOT CHAIN LINK FENCE AROUND PROPERTY IS REQUIRED. (9) Site shall be graded to a finish grade AND SEEDED WITH GRASS SEED established by the City Inspector. (10) The Contractor shall be a licensed demolition contractor with the State of Michigan. (11) Work is not to begin until notified by the City. The Contractor has 30 days from Notice to Proceed until final inspection to get the job completed. Even after Notice to Proceed is issued if the City is prevented from demolishing the property, the contract for demolition can be cancelled at any time, for any reason, by the City with no costs being assessed to the City.
