**As of May 8, 2024 , this project has been awarded to KELLY PAVING INC, awarded amount not available.** Edge mill 1.5 inch of existing asphalt from edge of pavement to a distance adequate to provide proper tie-in within the scope of the project. All millings are property of the City of Parkersburg it is to be discussed with city personnel on the proper procedure when hauling millings off the project site. Contractor shall place 0.5-inch hot laid bituminous asphalt scratch/leveling course in the areas determined as appropriate by city personnel after the pavement removal is completed. Before placement of 1.0-inch hot laid bituminous asphalt a roller pass must be established for City personnel to determine adequate compaction. If batch number changes, then another roller pass must be established. Contractor is responsible for providing compaction testing to establish roller pass. Place 1.0-inch hot laid bituminous asphalt wearing course in the stated areas after application of scratch/leveling course is completed. Adjust water valve, manholes, and inlets where applicable. The adjustment will be completed by the use of precast iron risers for sanitary manholes and water valves. Sealing on the inside of the riser ring will be required for all sanitary manholes. The adjustment may be completed by the use of adjustable riser rings for storm water manholes. See attached spec sheets for products. Provide a detailed Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan.
