PROJECT SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION The construction of all components of the Ridgefield Treatment Plant Secondary Treatment Process Improvements. Work includes installation of Owner furnished fiberglass reinforced plastic baffles in existing aeration basins, relocation of two (2) submersible mixed liquor recycle (MLR) pumps within existing aeration basins, new instrumentation in existing aeration basins, electrical improvements to serve existing and new facilities and equipment, and all other work as described in the contract plans and specifications. The Board of Sewer Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible Bidder, reject any or all Bids, republish the Call for Bids, revise or cancel the Work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the District is served. Award of Contract is not anticipated to occur prior to May 30, 2024. All Bid Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the Bid Proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the District.
