Renovation of a library in Chewelah, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
You are invited to bid on a General Contract for construction in Stevens County, Washington for the renovation of two existing library locations in Chewelah, WA, and Northport, WA. The projects consist of the implementation of ADA compliant upgrades, restroom renovations, finishes upgrades, interior framing, drywall, casework and some HVAC. Location 521 CENTER AVE, NORTHPORT, WA 99157 311 E CLAY AVENUE CHEWELAH, WASHINGTON 99109 Chewelah Base Bid: $125,000 Northport Base Bid: $ 30,000 Chewelah Alternates: $ 40,000 Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent of the base bid. The bid security constitutes a pledge that the Bidder will enter into the Contract with the Owner in the form provided, in a timely manner, and on the terms stated in its Bid and will furnish in a timely manner the payment and performance bonds, certificates of insurance, Contractor's Construction Schedule, and all other documents required in the Contract Documents. Should the Bidder fail or refuse to enter into the Contract or fail to furnish such documents, the amount of the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified or bank cashier's check payable to the Owner or a bid bond executed by a bonding company licensed in the State of Washington on a Public Works Bond or equivalent form. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the date and time set for opening thereof or before Award of Contract, unless said award is delayed beyond 30 days. Substantial Completion shall be achieved in compliance with Section 01 10 00 of the project specifications. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage under RCW 39.12 and apprenticeship participation of 15% under RCW 39.04.320. LOSC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, and in particular, to reject a proposal not accompanied by the required bid security or data required. The process shall comply with WAC 180-29- 105, RCW 28A.335.190 and RCW 43.19.1906. This project will be partially funded with funds from the Library Capital Improvement Program through the Washington State Department of Commerce and therefore is subject to the State laws and regulations associated with that program. Change all materials and labor required to provide the work shown on drawings and associated specifications, as identified in the Contract Documents 1. Base Bid: No change to existing carpet. 2. Bid Alternate #1: Complete all work included in the drawing set to provide new carpet tile as defined in the contract documents. B. BID ALTERNATE #2 - Rooftop HVAC Unit Replacement: Change all materials and labor required to provide the work shown on drawings and associated specifications, as identified in the Contract Documents 1. Base Bid: No change of existing rooftop HVAC unit. 2. Bid Alternate #2: Demolish existing and replace existing rooftop HVAC unit as defined in the contract documents. C. BID ALTERNATE #3 - Acoustic Ceiling Tiles: Change all materials and labor required to provide the work shown on drawings and associated specifications, as identified in the Contract Documents 1. Base Bid: No change to existing ceiling grid and tiles. 2. Bid Alternate #3: Provide new acoustic ceiling tiles in existing grid to remain as defined in contract documents. QA deadline : March 18 2024 at 12 P.M.
