The project consists primarily of the sidewalk reconstruction, decorative street lights installation, water main replacement, milling and resurfacing and full depth reconstruction of North Beverwyck Road. The project will also include the installation of drainage structures and drainage piping. Quantities will be provided prior to the start of construction. Decorative Street Lights 56 Unit A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be deposited by the bidder together with a Certificate of Surety evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. The successful bidder shall be required to deliver to the Township an executed Performance Bond of the responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. In lieu of a Certificate of Surety, the bidder shall submit, at the bid opening, a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. The Specifications as amended in Section 108.11 indicates that this Contract provides one hundred eighty (180) days for substantial completion of the work. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes addressed to the Office of Purchasing, Township of Parsippany Troy Hills, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey 07054 and marked plainly on the outside with the bid description and the name and address of the bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. The Township of Parsippany Troy Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder as required by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.
