Construction began in 2024 and was completed early 2025. This project involves the rehabilitation of the Warner Spur Stone Arch Bridge, located in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The work includes, but is not limited to Removal of the sediment and debris from under the structure and stream channel. Underpinning of eroded areas of the stone masonry abutment. Repairs to existing stone masonry spandrels, arch barrel and wing walls including stone replacements and repointing of mortar joints. Installation of rock protection around abutments, wingwalls, and upstream embankments. The project consists of but is not limited to the repair and mainte- nance and rebuilding of por- tions of the existing stone arch bridge, and include, con- crete underpinning, masonry repointing, temporary arch support, abutment repairs and stonework, and wing wall rebuild, as well as erosion and sediment control, debris/tree removal, stone rock rip-rap stream protection, matting, silt sock, stream bypass, grading/seeding and restoration. Township Board of Supervisors (BOS) will award bids, within 60-days of the date of bid opening, at either their May 20, 2024, or June 17, 2024, regular Board Meeting. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Township reserves the right to waive any minor informali- ties, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids, or any parts of any bids.
