Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Acton, Massachusetts. Design plans call for the construction of a 38,000-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
As of October 14, 2025, this project is in on hold and pending plan review. An architect has been selected and this project is in the schematic design phase. Bidding is expected to begin in fall 2027, with construction projected to start in early 2028 and span approximately 18 months. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Time Period for Completed Project 42 months. Requesting proposals from qualified firms for designer services related to the design, construction, and commissioning of a new, fossil-fuel free, 48,000 +/- sq. ft. state of the art DPW Facility. Scope The Owner is requesting services of a Designer throughout conceptual planning, schematic design, design development, construction and final closeout of the project. Specified Services(all chosen) Architect Landscape Architect Engineer Land Surveyor Project Manager Other MEP/FP, Civil, Interior Designer, Structural, Cost Estimator, HAZ MAT, Soils Engineering, Network/Computer, Energy/Stretch Code Submit all questions electronically until 4/4/24 by 10:00 A.M. Applications eight hard copies, and one digital copy in PDF format on separate USB stick must be received by the Office of the Town Manager, at above agency address no later than the deadline.
