Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Description of Work: Pavement removal and replacement of the pavement structure. Contractor shall remove pavement to accept the proposed pavement sections. Contractor shall replace the existing pavement with new cross-sections consisting of 8-inches of Aggregate and 4-inches of Asphalt. Additional work included removal & replacement of existing sidewalk, driveway aprons. Contractor shall remove and replace all curb, and curb/gutters with new curb & gutters either barrier or mountable as indicated on the plans. Construction includes storm sewers removed and placement of new storm sewers and new storm sewer structures. Construction also consists of substantial borrow and furnish excavations and seeding. The contract is to be awarded to the responsible bidder whose BID meets the requirements and criteria set forth in the RFB and who will enter into an acceptable contract as may be determined by the city. The City of East St. Louis encourages certified MBE's and WBE's to submit Bids for service in accordance with the terms and conditions required. Bidders must submit one original (1) and eight (8) copies. Bids shall be signed with name typed below signature. Where bidder is a corporation, bids must be signed with legal name of corporation followed by name of state of incorporation and legal signature of an officer authorized to bind the corporation to a contract. Rejection of Bids: The City reserves the right to reject all Bids, to request information concerning any Bid for purposes of clarifications, to accept or negotiate any modification to any Bid following the deadline for receipt of all Bids, and to waive any irregularities if such would serve the best interests of the City. If the bidder neglects to provide any required documentation their bid is subject to be rejected for non-responsiveness. In addition, the bidder is subject to administrative costs that the City incurs due to the bidder's non-responsiveness.
