The Northcentral Region of the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting bids for road improvement work on State Game Lands (SGL) 30 in McKean County. The Pennsylvania Game Commission ( PGC), North central Region , requires services to improve approximately 5,549 feet of administrative road on State Game Lands (SGL) 30, McKean County. Services shall include, but not be limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, tools, equipment, stone, culverts, and seed for the road improvement project as per Attachment 1. All Purchase Orders require the contractor to provide the equipment, materials, labor, insurance, and all miscellaneous expenses to complete the operation. A. Approximately 5,549 feet of existing SGL road will be improved by grading with a dozer with a six-way blade or road grader to a 15-foot base, crowned three inches at the centerline or sloped (according to topography), side ditches established, and positively drained. B. Culverts will be installed as specified with 20 tons of 2RC stone per culvert. Head and tail walls will be precast head walls as specified in Technical Specification No.1. C. A 12-foot running surface of Driving Surface Aggregate (DSA) will be paver placed and compacted over the entire 5,549 project area. D. The total amount of limestone aggregate is listed below to include parking areas, and road base and surfacing. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to deliver these materials as part of this contract. All figures are approximate, and the actual amount required may differ based on various variables, conditions, and circumstances. SGL 30 in Norwich Twp. This SGL is located in McKean County. Access to SGL 30 is via Dividing Ridge Road located off State Route 46 between Smethport and Emporium. Coordinates: N 41.6310609/ W -78.32310569. See attached map. The project will begin after July 1st, 2024 provided that the contractor has been supplied with a Finalized Purchase Order that includes a notice to proceed (weather permitting). A Performance Bond at one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract in accordance with the plans, specifications and conditions of the contract.
