Saving Project...

Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Blacksburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 284,000-square-foot, five-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Project consists of a concrete-framed structure with a combination of Hokie Stone, precast and glazing on the exterior. The interior features lab spaces, classrooms, lecture hall, office spaces, etc. The existing wind tunnel, adjacent to Randolph Hall will be enclosed with a steel structure. The new facility is slated to add over 70 percent more gross square feet in the same footprint as the former Randolph Hall. As of March 27, 2024, bidding on this project is tentatively scheduled for mid to late April 2024.
