Bloomingdale Public Library (Owner) will receive sealed bids for the: 2024 Mechanical Replacement Project ATTN: Tim Jarzemsky, Library Director A Bid Security of 10% ofthe Bid in the form of a cashier's or certified check payableto the Owner or a bid bond acceptable to the Owner isrequired with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates and otherwise fully conform with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. It is the policy of the Library to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued pursuant to this Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, towaive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept theBid that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of theLibrary. Any such decision shall be considered final. TheOwner reserves the right to disqualify a Bid from aContractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibitthe capability to complete the project and in theContractor's past experience has not completed a projectthat is at least equal to the scope and size of this project. The bidder shall have a written sexual harassment policyin place in full compliance with Section 2-105 of the IllinoisHuman Rights Act. This project and contract calls for theconstruction of a "public work," within the meaning of theIllinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("theAct"). The successful bidder shall, upon execution of the contractfor the work, present to the Owner Performance and Payment Bonds issued by a surety company acceptableto the Owner, in the amount of the Contract to guarantycompletion of the Project and payment of all subcontractors and material suppliers.
