The project is expected to be awarded on May 31, 2024. 2024 Sealcoating of Village Properties Project. proposed project is officially known as the "Village of Bloomingdale Sealcoating of Village Properties" which consists of sealcoating, crack filling, and re-marking painted lines at six (6) Village properties, six (6) lift station driveways and (1) bike/pedestrian bridge, and three (3) pump stations. 1.Village Hall/Police Department Parking Lot 2.Gazebo Parking Lot 3.3rd Street Parking Lot 4.Public Works Facility Parking Lot 5.Bloomingdale Golf Course Parking Lot 6.Bloomingdale Golf Course Maintenance Building Lot 7.Lift Station Driveways (6 locations) 8.Lake Street Bike/Pedestrian Bridge 9.Pump Stations (3) The Village will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder qualified to perform the work. This is to include the planning and programming of all services, performance of those services, and compliance with a completion schedule agreed upon between the contractor and the Village of Bloomingdale. 3.INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS Proposal forms may be obtained from the Village Clerk at 201 South Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois, 60108. The Village of Bloomingdale is exempt from the Illinois State Municipal or County Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Revised Statute Chapter 120. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. 4.BID SECURITY All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier's check, bank draft, certified check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Bloomingdale, for not less than five percent (5%) of the Contract cost. The bid security shall be forfeited if the bidder fails or refuses to enter into Contract after his proposal is accepted. 5.PREVAILING WAGE The successful Contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act requirements (820 ILCS 130/1-12) for this contract including submission of certified payroll requirements and the employment of Illinois workers during periods of excessive unemployment. The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities, irregularities and technicalities when awarding the contract for the work.
